Genuine Reference Studios, LLC (GRS) is a recording artist’s resource. We focus on capability, quality and flexibility. Our goal is to empower artists with turnkey professional services that record, publish and promote their musical creations to the world market.

GRS embraces modern recording technology that merges the best of over 90 years of audio recording history. We record with capability as the heart of the recording process.

The recording industry went through a transformation with the adoption of the transistor in the 60’s, a far more energy efficient and lower cost option to valves (Tubes). Valves (or Tubes) required high voltages to process audio information from microphones. Transformers were used to interface between the high voltages of tubes to the rest of the signal processing balance of system. Transformers add harmonics to the audio signal that are sought after by listeners and musicians alike.

All recorded music at GRS makes use of high quality 500 series preamps from companies that know all about the sought after sound these audio transformers bring.
